A personal assistant (PA) is a support worker you can employ directly to support you. We can assist & support you in through the process of recruiting & employing a PA, whether your funding is from Individualised Budgets, Direct Payments, PHB (Personal Health Budgets), and Access to work.
A 'direct payment' is a sum of money that your local council or health authority will pay directly to you, to aid to you to buy and arrange your own care and support to live as independently as possible with more choice and control.
**Not currently a Direct Payment recipient? The first step is to contact your local authority or health authority for an assessment to find out whether or not you are entitled to care and support.

You (care receiver or your representative) may chose to employ a PA meaning you are then an employer. This is where we come in, to offer you support (paid service) to assist you secure a PA (s) most suited to your care/support needs and budget.
By choosing Ubuntu365 you should expect the highest level of tailored support suited to your individual needs only designed to increase your independence, and improve your health and general wellbeing. You will have the ultimate control and decision on which PA (s) you want to recruit.
The services and support we offer includes (but not limited to): -
- Personal assistant (PA) pre-recruitment & matching
- PA training inc specialist training e.g. Catheter care, enteral feed (PEG/JeJ), medication administration etc
- Employer information,
- Advice, support & guidance
- PA/Employer documentation e.g. employment related letters or documents including policies
- Pre-employment checks inc DBS and occupational health questionnaire etc. We will support
- Signposting - of those services we do not offer. We will signpost to other reputable and relevant services e.g. any other specialist training for your PA that we do not offer, employer insurance cover and payroll.

Our support brokerage fees are: -
- Our initial introductory meeting is free of charge with no obligations
- PA Recruitment & Employment Support - £245.13
- Employment Support (information, advice & guidance ONLY) £148/year
- Additional PA (s) recruitment per PA - *£78.63
- DBS completion check & support per item - £54.63
- DBS check if your PA is on the update service per item - *£4.63
- PA Training per course/PA (Face to Face or virtual - 1:1 or group) *£42.63
- PA online training set up ONLY per PA (the training cost for the this would be determined by the system or of your choice) - *£4.63
- Employer insurance cover search & present (up to 3 quotes/year) *£9.25
- Additional support beyond standard menu items £18.50/hour
- Signposting - *No extra cost to employers or budget holders already using one of our services
NB: * That is cost for those budget holders (employers) already signed up for either the PA recruitment & employment support OR employment support only packages otherwise we will be charged @ our hourly rate of £18.50/hr.
